- Prominent Canadians from music, film, television and sport to appear on the special include:
Musical acts Nelly Furtado, Measha Brueggergosman, Justin Bieber, Céline Dion, Sarah McLachlan, Barenaked Ladies, David Foster, Chantal Kreviazuk, Raine Maida and Simple Plan.

St. Patricks Day - March 17
GAMES
St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt
What You Need:
Paper
Marker
Black pot
Chocolate gold coins
Scissors
Green construction paper
Instructions
Hide a pot filled with gold chocolate coins either inside or out, depending on the weather.

Write clues leading up to the pot on the smaller clovers.
On the large clover, write the first clue and place it under your child's breakfast dish.
Can You Let Go of the Leprechaun's Gold?
Legend says a leprechaun can't lie, but he can be very tricky -- just like this St. Patrick's Day challenge. Can you let his gold slip through your fingers?
What You Need
Coin
Instructions
The Setup: Put your hands together, palms facing. Bend your middle fingers as shown, then ask someone to slip a coin between the tips of your ring fingers.
The Setup: Put your hands together, palms facing. Bend your middle fingers as shown, then ask someone to slip a coin between the tips of your ring fingers.
The Challenge: Try to release the coin by pulling apart your ring fingers. Letting go of money is usually easy, so how come here it's so hard?
What's Going On: Because it lacks certain tendons that your other fingers have, your ring finger is at the mercy of its next-door neighbor, the middle finger. The two are connected by a piece of cordlike tissue, and when your middle fingers are bent as they are here, it tightens, drawing together your ring fingers. Until you unfold your middle fingers, the coin is all but impossible to release.
RECIPES
Shamrock Cupcakes
Ingredients
Cooled cupcakes (baked from your favorite recipe)
White icing
Green gum drops or spearmint leaves
Heart-shaped cookie cutter
Rolling pin
Instructions
Frost a cooled cupcake (baked from your favorite recipe) with white icing.
For the shamrock, flatten 3 green gumdrops or spearmint leaves with a rolling pin (sprinkle on a little sugar, if necessary, to keep the candies from sticking).
Use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter (ours was 1 1/2 inches across) to cut a heart from each flattened leaf.
Place the hearts together on the cupcake to form a shamrock.
Cut a stem from the excess of one of the flattened candies and set it in place below the 3 hearts.
